I have worked with CTNW for three years creating layouts, illustrations, designing advertisements and assisting with interviews as well as video editing. Working alongside our team of writers and designers I contribute ideas to the editorial and creative departments during meetings for upcoming issues.
My most consistent role as part of the creative team has been designing layouts in indesign. Over time I have become more experimental and courageous with my work, utilizing a multitude of different softwares to create engaging layouts.
The Music Issue, Jul/Aug 2025
This feature started off as a simple listicle describing where in Northern Westchester to experience live music. I created a visually exciting and engaging solution to show off these venues.
I illustrated a map of Westchester with key borders such as Connecticut, the Hudson River and The Long Island Sound as context so that the readers could easily locate where on the map they were looking.

The Art Issue, Nov/Dec 2025
This feature described where in Northern Westchester to see, buy and make art. I took inspiration from Piet Mondrian's Abstract art style to illustrate a map of Westchester, simultaneously combining the execution of the feature with the theme of the issue.
I utilized the recognizable red, yellow & blue of Mondrians work to color code the "see", "buy" & "create" art, allowing art itself to be the key for the map.

The Home Issue, Mar/Apr 2025
This feature gave suggestions to homeowners regarding seasonal upkeep to do in & around their homes to combat wear and tear as well as changes in seasons.
I utilized Spline3D, a web based modeling program, to create fun illustrations to accompany the piece.

The Education Issue, Sep/Oct 2025
This feature outlined methods for students to better take on the difficulties that come with school. As the title suggests, "Life Skills..." I immediately began sketching out iterations of the board game Life.

The Health Issue, May/June 2025
This feature was a beast to tackle, constricted to just 3 pages I had the exciting challenge of contextualizing 300 years of vaccine history into a digestible timeline. with over 50 bullets ranging from one sentence to multiple paragraphs, I created a timeline that was easy to read, while also emulating the intricate nature of vaccines and germs. The wide ranging color scheme and assets pushed the medical feel of the layout, and the color shifting lines signified what vaccine was the topic of that era.
